The Youth Exchange is the main activity of the project "Hands up for nature". It was designed for young people coming from 9 European countries (Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Macedonia, Lituania, Portugal, Bulgaria, Poland and Estonia), gathering them in order to tackle the environmental issue they see and are interested in. Water protection, protection of beaches and coasts are main topics of the youth exchange that participants want to discuss and explore more since they want to increase awareness of locals and tourists coming to summer resorts by the sea or lakes. The Youth Exchange was an activity that met objectives of the project by giving the opportunity for young people to spend time in intercultural environment, get connected and active on local, national and international level as well as become more aware of different cultures, traditions and attitudes of young people coming from other countries. Participant learned how to make compaing, meet with local stakeholders, make creative trashbins and clean the beach.
